Hello!

Hi! I'm Michelle. I am an illustrator with a background in molecular biology, English literature and law. I designed greeting cards and stationery under Chelleline Cards for ten years. During that time, my cards were carried in over 100 brick-and-mortar locations, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the McCord Museum of Montreal, and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri.

In addition to illustrating, I also work as a small business owner and a translator (French to English). I live with my husband and two children in Kansas City, Missouri.

​

My illustrator debut, THE BIRD I BECAME by J. Drew Lanham, is scheduled to be published by Enchanted Lion Books (TBD).

​

My author-illustrator debut, ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A GINGERBREAD HOUSE (tentative title), will be published by Familius in Fall 2028.

​

Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Michelle, et je suis une illustratrice qui a étudié la biologie, la littérature anglaise, et j’ai aussi étudié à la faculté de droit. Mes illustrations sont généralement réalisées au crayon de couleur et à partir de papiers découpés. Je suis actuellement en train d’illustrer un album de jeunesse, THE BIRD I BECAME, pour la maison d’édition Enchanted Lion Books à New York. Par ailleurs, mon propre album, dont je suis autrice et illustratrice, sera publié par la maison d’édition Familius en 2028. J'ai suivi des cours d’illustration à l’école des beaux-arts, Kansas City Art Institute, et j’ai travaillé comme conceptrice et illustratrice de cartes de voeux.

Je suis d'origine taiwanaise, et je vis actuellement aux États-Unis. (J’ai aussi vécu à Montréal, il y a dix ans.) En plus de mon travail comme illustratrice, je suis entrepreneure, j'ai créé une box fonctionnant sur abonnement mensuel pour favoriser les liens entre les pères et leurs enfants, cela s’appelle The Rad Dad Box.
